"Tinsel Town" is a tribute to Los Angeles
I think it kind of, in many ways
Encapsulates the feel of L.A
Certainly, from my perspective

The lyrics in the song
"Whatever you need, all that you long for
All you need to be, it can be found
All in Tinsel Town" and to me that′s
Los Angeles in a nutshell

You know you can be
Whoever you want to be
And no more better than I live (check your mind, you're free to follow)
Again, I′m particularly fond of Tinsel Town
Because I think that uh (all the friends that you can borrow)
It avoids the cliches that people use (everybody's so much fun)
Whenever they describe Los Angeles (to pay for all the lunches done)


Oh, it's a force and you know
People always said the same things (always trying)
That really kinda annoy me, actually (to beat the rest)
You know like f- (you′re always trying to be)
Like pretentiousness and forcedness (whatever you need)
Doesn′t exist in their own homes
Or in their own countries

And from a musical um, standpoint (all the things you long for and you need to be)
The feel in Tinsel Town is very, uh
It has a nocturnal feel (they can be found)
And that's when I feel
Los Angeles looks its best (all in Tinsel Town)
I think you, you get a quintessential (all in Tinsel Town)
Of you, of Los Angeles (all in Tinsel town)
When you stand somewhere in the Hollywood Hills at night (all in Tinsel town)
And you look across the valley
Or you look across, uh downtown
And you see Tinsel Town
