I was alone and moving endlessly
For there was nowhere that I cared to be
I came upon a Spanish town as I wandered ′round
Though the night was almost through

A gypsy band was playing in the square
I heard the music drifting on the air
I walked up close to see the show
Little did I know
Life would start anew

I was alone and then I found her
A million stars are blinking 'round her
I stopped a while to see her dance

Her dark eyes sparkled in the dimming light
Her move was graceful as a bird in flight
She saw me watching in the dark
Suddenly a spark passed between us as we stood

I was enchanted by the scent she cast
She came to want me when the dance was past

And as we stood between the palms
She was in my arms
Now I′ve been changed for good
