The Pill. The Pill. I'm pining for the Pill.
I won't have anymore because they're going to bless the Pill.
I wen't when I was 17, I hadn't any brains,
Says I, "The very thing to do is fill the house with Waynes."
But when I got the room full, I went and say the priest,
To tell him my man Willie is behavin' like a beast.


He gave me such a talking to, it filled me eyes with tears
"How long have you been whipped?", says he, says I, "For 7 years."
He says, "You'd better give over all your evil sinful tricks,
You've been married seven years and you only got the six.

But now I'm hitting up for 40, in my faith have I been true
the very last time I counted them, I tallied 22
Now I'm runnin' out of the notion, and we're runnin' short of names,
the Wille, he would welcome more, he's very fond of Waynes.

And now the docking of the pill, it fills me heart with hope
I'm sitting here and waiting on the message, frie the Pope
I went downtown and bought some, at 50 bob a ten
I hope we hear the Pope's ok before me man comes in
