Man, it′d been a long day
I was sittin' in that stand still out on the highway
20 miles from the house, lookin′ out at the brake lights
'Bout to lose my mind

Like a sign from the good Lord
Saw a cold beer here and next right, high up on a billboard
So I hit the shoulder fast and I put that old ford
Right there by the front door, yeah

I walked in, sat down
Was just gonna have one round
Kill a cold one and a little time
Little did I know those green eyes
Would hit me out of the blue
Yeah, I found you in the neon stars
Yeah, I was just lookin' for a beer in a bar

It was just a little small talk
And a couple shots at an off the highway hole in the wall
That turned into a dance, that turned to last call
Yeah, it′s crazy, ain′t it?


I walked in, sat down
Was just gonna have one round
