Stones Songtext

But it can be a sad place I know
Lots of stones for you to throw
A few more heading in this direction
Use them for your protection

You could use a stone to build a house
Or to form a wall
You can pile them up as high as you like your castle will still fall
Nothings gonna stand the test of time
Not as far as we know
There might be a secret hidden deep inside this stone

Sometimes the deepest things can be forgotten
Imagine the history of a drop of water
All the places thats its been in all its many forms
The stories that it could tell if this water could talk

You could use it to quench your thirst
Or it can flood your town
Sandbags at the ready troops we head to higher ground
Our body′s mostly water
Our planet's mostly sea
And it tastes delicious between you and me

Somewhere where the stones and the sea dance with the tide
The moon conducts her business
There′s not a soul in sight
A timeless intelligence
Sprinkled with irrelevance
Magnifies the beauty and the pure magnificence
Of the stones on the beach
The stars in the sky
Tears in the ocean
And that look in your eyes
So many questions
So much to learn
So many stones left unturned
