This song is dedicated to all those young people
Who died on both sides of the battle line

He played on his guitar and he danced in the sun
His lean and shining body sang out for everyone
He′s older now, as cold as the hills of Mizoram
Lost his guitar, he's got a gun

He doesn′t talk of music now, he talks of only fear
Before you get to see him, he's already disappeared
Running through the jungles, like a mountain deer
Hiding away from the sun

Oh, why do my brothers want to die?
Shot through the head on a lonely mountain site
Come looking to the anger of his pale blue eyes
He's only just a lonely Mizo boy

You can say that he′s misguided, you can say that he is a fool
Someone′s got to take the charge and send them back to school
And if required we should declare a military rule
To keep the mountain safe and secure


So we get into to the politics and tangled in the lies
And while we talk, yet another boy prepares to die
'Cause the military finds them dead but cannot find out why
Perhaps the pale blue mountains only know
