I can only assume
That the way that you′re behaving
Is because you lacked love as a child
Your elephant in the room is fed and watered
It should've been left alone in the wild

I would love for this to not be an issue
I would love to just laugh in your face
But I′m finding it hard to dismiss you
When you're the one running the place

We didn't ask for you to lead us
We didn′t want you to be boss
You have done nothing but deceive us
And it exacerbates our goals

And its a complicated system, I know
But it ain′t a lack of ability that's causing the show
To really take a turn for the worst
And it′s not the fact that you've had no time to rehearse


I know that every move is intended
To find ways of protecting your own
You knew that so many depended
On decisions we′d never condone

We didn't ask for you to lead us
We didn′t want you to be boss
You have done nothing but deceive us
And it exacerbates our goals

What's your motivation? What's your raison d′être?
In any other vocation you wouldn′t affect
Even a quarter of the people you do
Now you make the rules and you break them too

I can feel the tide and it's turning

You′re already wading waist deep
And while you think you're still leading, we′re winning
Steal the tide that you're so desperate to keep
