Fireworks Tonight Songtext

Fireworks Tonight Songtext
Every night I wait for my heroes
Well you know, kind of musical heroes.
That I′ve met through the years since I was a little boy.
(All started when) grandpa gave me his gramophone
He also gave me a Scott Walker album
I liked it because he sings and looks very cool
And just like Sir.Paul his music - sweet and cruel
Fireworks tonight, I don t know they're all gone
And there′s butterflies and rainbows everywhere
He used to be a Raspberries fan
Mostly into songs by Eric Carmen
A friend, Robert Whitmore, called me and asked me to stay
After all it was his birthday party
All my friends came to his birthday party:
Alex Chilton, Michael Clarke and Roger McGuinn
Funny bunch of people, what a scene!
Do you know what I mean!
At last, my heroes are here
Saying: "Shy, there is no need to fear"
Well you know, kind of musical heroes.
That I′ve met through the years since I was a little boy.
(All started when) grandpa gave me his gramophone
He also gave me a Scott Walker album
I liked it because he sings and looks very cool
And just like Sir.Paul his music - sweet and cruel
Fireworks tonight, I don t know they're all gone
And there′s butterflies and rainbows everywhere
