All the Time (Track/Vocal) Songtext

A lot of the times when I get an idea for a song
I tend to pull out my phone, and I record a voice memo of it
And, I think those are really special because I think they
Kind of encapsulate the feeling I had when I first wrote the song
Because, a lot of the times I do it right after I write a song
So, I thought it′d be fun if I showed you guys
Three voice memos from songs on the album
That I think are just really special to me
And, I think they really show how the songs started
And I hope you enjoy


All the Time was a song that originated when
My friend Evan Volkman had sent me
A bunch of different tracks that he was working on
And, Evan and I have worked on both of my albums together
And, there was this one track that really, really stuck out to me
And I kind of immediately had this story in my head that I wanted to tell
And, I wrote down a few lyrics, I played that track
And, I kind of just sang this half finished melody I had
And, I sent it to him and he really liked it so
I wrote the rest of the song and it went on the record
This is the voice memo for all the time

Ok so like, here's a few ideas that I wrote down
Um, I have like, a melody that I kind of want to work around
But, the chorus I′m kind of iffy about

I know I can be crazy
But I'll give you a good time
I've been worrying lately
But don′t worry, it′s all alright

So, come on over
And, let's get closer
I′m tired of being friends
You don't notice

But, I want you here in my arms


'Cause when the night goes out
All I think about

Why am I so shy?
Yes, I do this all the time
All the time

And then I want to go like
"All..."
Like, wait, kind of like
"All, all, all, all, all, all the time"
Like... like a ton of layers, but, something like that
So I'm gonna work on the lyrics more
