Lunar Room Songtext
von Richard Henshall

Lunar Room Songtext

You were looking down
I was looking up
I was taking time
It was not enough
Lost my faith in friction
Pushing between fiction
Side to side
Day to night
The script that kept my soul alive
So alive
What am I
What am I telling myself this time
When the floor shakes I lose my mind
The floor and roof are compromised
Compromised
Compromised
Sick am I
Sick of blinds
Sick of asking why my mind
Why my mind is running scenes of terrifying sights
Our mom and dad stood tower high
Now beneath my feet they lie
Now between my teeth my tongue is tied
Tied to what I hope to find
Though in finding I may die
Or at least never return to life
As I knew it all this time
As I knew it uncompromised

Silken hands and wasp webs on neck
Fingers raw red
Ripping and stretching the chains in my head
Pupils dilate
Light cast flies fast
Cold grip grabs on to burning knowledge
Get me outta here
Hear me disappear
Watch me sing a freedom siren song
Tempting my own frantic thoughts
A long freedom finally
Beginning to come to grips with how little
I′ve ever seen or what it means to me
What it means
Life was a picture a day
Shadows on the wall of a cave
Step one
It's not me no
It′s not me no
Step 2 to step 12
I'm more alone than before

A way out
A question
Was I trapped in the first place?
A way out
Now I'm not so sure about anything

What was I thinking?
I don′t know
I don′t know how to think like that anymore
Tell me what was I thinking?
I don't know
I don′t know how to think like that anymore
