It′s not that easy being green
Having to spend these days the color of the leaves
When I think it could be so much nicer being red, yellow or gold
Or something much more colourful like that

Lord, it's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over
Cause you′re not standing out like flashes sparkles on the water
And stars in the sky

But green is the color of spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
Oh, green can be big like an ocean
Or a poodle like a mountain
Or tall like a tree


Warm and whole would bring all green there is to be
Well, it could make you wonder why
Wonder why, wonder why
Wonder i'm green
And it will define cause it's beautiful
And I think it′s what I wanna be
