Other days I am an arrow
Depending on the bend of the bow
The blowing of the wind

But some things I never question
Hard rain or an unexpected lesson
I just breathe ′em in

You were a summer storm

I see a relic of the rain that brought us here

Some days play back like movies in my head
I point out what I could have said
That might have changed the ending


Other days read like the first page of that favorite book
I've read a hundred times
Still can′t wait for where it's going

'Cause the same things are holding brighter light
To shine on what′s always been
Leave me too surprised to second guess it
