Pray for Fire Songtext

A light dimmed and faded from the sky
Malice it formed in the strife of what transpired
Craters formed right where we fell

Will we get back up?
Waiting
Waiting
In the dark

Dying and alone
My roots are buried deep
But here among the thorns
The climb is much too steep
The sky holds our purpose
But Earthborn, we′re bound
But we'll persevere
Because we belong a long way from here

We refuse to fail
We refuse to fail
Refuse to lose to their hateful ways
Their cross high above us
But salvation has been long denied
No room for a peaceful resolution
Long gone is a hope for building any bonds

When you left me in the darkness
I had to make my own flames
A warmth you couldn′t diminish
Or ever take away
And it brought me to life
Again

Now I stand on the piles of your ashes
And I look upon the waves of coming flames

We refuse to fail
Refuse to lose to their hateful ways
Their cross high above us
But salvation has been long denied
No room for a peaceful resolution
Long gone is a hope for building any bonds

When you left me alone in the darkness
I had to make my own flames to survive

Fire, I'm safe

Rising

Burning
Consuming
Everything

A war broke out amongst them
And they blamed it on the dragon
Not realising it was their on nature
That would bring about their demise

Now they pray for rain
But I am the coming storm
They pray for forgiveness
But I pray for fire

See, there are no words
For you to gain salvation
The sky is black
And you are crowned with your mistakes
Persecution was the weapon that you wielded
You held us down in constant judgment and contempt

But now as night falls
The flames keep rising higher
I have no pity for the pain of your heartbreak
I rather we both go down destroyed together
Than leave a world for you to turn into regret
