If the Accident Will Songtext
Just when the war began
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
Oh oh oh oh oh oh...
And just when the war began
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
And so I depart clutching my telescope
Under my arm, back to it all
I deserted my flag,
I deserted my country
This isn′t my war
This fight isn't mine
There′s no hidden plot
But just when the war began I thought
That dead is dead
And I'm not
The holes in the ground
And planes in the sky
I started to think of holes
In my chest, my arms, my legs and my head
And so I depart... woah-oh oh
Just when the war began
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
Oh oh oh oh oh oh...
And just when the war began
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
And so I depart clutching my telescope
Under my arm, back to it all
I deserted my flag,
I deserted my country
This isn′t my war
This fight isn't mine
There′s no hidden plot
But just when the war began I thought
That dead is dead
And I'm not
The holes in the ground
And planes in the sky
I started to think of holes
In my chest, my arms, my legs and my head
And so I depart... woah-oh oh
Just when the war began
You left my side
Cowered and also-ran
Cos you were mine
When our last hymn was sung
You left my side
What we were fighting for
Then meant much more
