I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Songtext

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day Songtext
I heard the bells on Christmas day
Those old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
And I thought how
As the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Would roll along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
But as they rang
I shook my head
"There′s no peace on earth" I said
Hate is strong
And it mocks the song
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
Then peeled the bells
More loud and deep
God not dead
And he does not sleep
The wrong shall fail
And Christ prevail
With peace on earth
Good will to men
Then ringing, singing
On it's way
The earth revolved
From night to day
A voice, a chime,
A song sublime
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
Those old familiar carols play
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
And I thought how
As the day had come
The belfries of all Christendom
Would roll along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
But as they rang
I shook my head
"There′s no peace on earth" I said
Hate is strong
And it mocks the song
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
Then peeled the bells
More loud and deep
God not dead
And he does not sleep
The wrong shall fail
And Christ prevail
With peace on earth
Good will to men
Then ringing, singing
On it's way
The earth revolved
From night to day
A voice, a chime,
A song sublime
Of peace on earth
Good will to men
