Early to rise and early to bed,

It might make you happy, and healthy and wise,
But you can tell that jazz to them other guys,

Why wasn't poor Richard rich?


Well I worked real hard and breakin' my back,
Then 1 day I had a heart attack,
The consequences really made me seeth, (seeth?)
When I laid eyes on the doctor's bill,
I got so mad I was fittin' to kill,
'Cuz they made me pay for the oxygen I breathed.
