I remember those days sitting in the park

All them notes didn′t hit their mark
But in my head I'm back there now
Spending time like copper coins
Aimless and without measure
Spending words on ugly rhymes
Just begging for some meter

But the songs sound so perfect to me
Because we meant them
When they had no meaning
Telling stories about our lives
With metaphors that don′t make sense
But the sentiment comes clearly through
In the simple tales we tell
And the stories all have no point
They just damn us straight to hell
