Going South - Live Songtext

Going South - Live Songtext

As I exchange these cloudy Northern skies
For sunny Southern shores
There′s a smile on my face
And as the A40 meanders through
The sprawling Cotswold hills
I think back to where I'm from

Every roaring flame
Starts from an ember
Starts from an ember
And though it might sound strange
As I′m going South
Things are looking up

Wherever I am, whatever I do
It'll be because of you, because of you
And all the love you gave to me
Whenever I'm hurt, wherever I′m lost
Come the storm, rain or snow, hail or frost
I know you′ll find me soon

As I emerge into this limestone town
A confetti storm of leaves
Leaves me sailing a verdant a sea
And seems like all the cars in front
Are moving the same way
My own private parade

Every old oak tree
Grew from an acorn
Grew from an acorn
And now I've found my peace
As my roots drive down
I′ll be blooming soon

As I exchange these cloudy Northern skies
For sunny Southern shores
I won't forget where I came from
