This is how I like it.

I sway (and dance) as long as I am young and slender
(Because soon) I′m going to be an old hag,
And then I won't be able to do it anymore.


I was the darling of my mum,
Her kaaliainen
And every evening when she was feeding us,
I was always the first one, at her breast.

Our bunch is leaving now,
Is about to leave,

And this dear village,
Is already left behind.
