Well she called me up on the telephone,
Upset, cuz she was feelin′ like she was alone,
I told her don't worry, it′s only today,
You can't push this stuff much, it'll find its own way,

Also I told her

That there are some days when you just wanna sit at a mirror and say to it I
hate you,
But there′s no reason for loneliness cuz there′s always someone that you can
relate to,
It's not always easy,
It′s hard to believe me
When I say that it will go away,
Shit ain't gonna last,
It′ll fade to the past,
Look to the future, a new day.


Well he left a message,
Cuz I couldn't get to the phone in time,
He said that he′d done something wrong,
He couldn't move on,
He couldn't put it out of his mind.

Well here′s what I told him.

If I could take my own advice,
I thought well, now since I was down,
Maybe I′d come around,
If I wrote somethin' out that sounded nice.

Well I did, and here's what I came to.
