Back To Ohio Songtext
von Charlotte Campbell

Back To Ohio Songtext

I thought I′d miss those city lights
But 419 it feels like coming home for the first time
I never thought I'd see those midwestern skies in this light
But I′m coming home

And I don't miss California
I never liked LA
The people all seem friendly there
But I don't like to stay
I might go back to Nashville
If I had somewhere to play
But I′d go back to Ohio any day

I thought I′d miss that city buzz
People say there's nothing much
Just flyover and never touchdown
But that little house has given me so much to talk about
Nothing compares to it now

And I don′t miss California
I never liked LA
The people all seem friendly there
But I don't like to stay
I might go back to Nashville
If I had somewhere to play
But I′d go back to Ohio

No I won't go back to Texas
Though I liked it ok
I might stop off in NYC
If it was on the way
But there′s one place that feels like home
And every night I pray
I can go back to Ohio someday

This is not my family
My home is somewhere else
But friends are like the family
That you get to choose yourself

No I won't go back to Texas
Though I liked it ok
I might stop off in NYC
If it was on the way
But there's one place that feels like home
And every night I pray
I can go back to Ohio

And I don′t miss California
I never liked LA
The people all seem friendly there
In their own unique way
I might go back to Nashville
If I had somewhere to play
But I′d go back to Ohio any day

I thought I'd miss those city lights
But 419 it feels like coming home for the first time...
