Ah-hahaha, it was a night before the Christmas and everything was real quiet
So I thought, I′d take myself a little walk that Christmas Eve night
I was makin' it on down the street, when to my surprise
I saw this little-bitty dude with big ol′ tears in his eyes
And I could see, he was standing there
In front of this music store, and he looked real broke down
You know, I could hear what he was saying, but he didn't know, I was around

I want Santa Claus to bring me a rock ′n' roll guitar"


So, I walked over to him, of course, I understand
I thought, I′d cheer him up a little, so I said, "Looky here, little man!
You don't want a rock-'n′-roll guitar, you want a computer like all the other kids have
So you can email, and dot com, and all that internet jazz
Now, how′d you like old Santa to bring you a Xbox, or Power Rangers, or Transformers
So you can run around transforming things?"
He said, "Man, I don't want no Xbox, I want something that swings"
He said -

"I want a rock ′n' roll guitar with a big bass string
I want a rock ′n' roll guitar, so I can play the thing
I want to be on TV like a rock ′n' roll star
I want Santa Claus to bring me a rock 'n′ roll guitar"

"Now wait, wait a minute, wait a minute there
Hold on, hold on, little fella, hold on, little dude
Why don′t you be like the rest of the little dudes and dudettes
And wish for Space Rangers, or rocket ship, or something wild like that?"
And you know what he said?
He said, "Look here, man, I don't want no train
And no plane, and nothing square like that
That ain′t too lit for me
When I awake, this whole place is gonna shake
'Cause you know what I want under my Christmas tree"
He said -

"Alright now, a-hey, okay there, little buddy
Why don′t we cruise on down to the mall
And see if we can get Santa to bring you a rock-'n′-roll guitar?
