CAN MY FLOWERS EVEN GROW HERE? Songtext

Are decent conditions too far off in the distance?
Why does every romantic relationship end in financial transaction?

Remove the rosetints, welcome to true colors
Meanwhile, I′m some sort of rainbow
And I can't fathom half the shit people around me
Do on a daily basis and think is normal

Can my flowers even grow here
When the ground is bullshit and the air is smoke?

I check myself out in every store window
We come from a place where honesty comes off as crazy
And trying to be something real
Feels like constantly running up a wheel
Where gentleness is wimpy
Yet the level of aggression is equal to the amount of fear

Can my flowers even grow here?
Can my flowers even grow here? (Yeah)

Well you know, sometimes it feels too far gone
Like I′m one blade on some hopeless lawn
And I'm missing that youthful naivete, fascinated by everything
Admiring the beauty without having to make it a part of me

Can my flowers even grow here?
Can my flowers even grow here? (Yes, it can)

Some days it feels every current is working against me
Decency repeatedly beat down by these tired ass ways of thinking
Kept alive by dinosaurs that run everything into the ground
Might as well plant one seed for the kids that can't yet speak

Are decent conditions too far off in the distance?
Why does every romantic relationship end in financial transaction?

Remove the rosetints, welcome to true colors
Meanwhile, I′m some sort of rainbow
And I can′t just sit back and pretend
That half of this insane shit that we go through
And hear about on a daily basis is normal
Nothing is normal
Just because it's normal doesn′t mean it's good

Can my flowers even grow here?
Can my flowers even grow here? (I don′t know)
