When this storm blows me back in the corner
I don′t know anymore what to trust
The darkness descends like a blanket of fog
The deeds of the day turning to dust
When the desperate hours lie in ambush
That's the moment I reach for your touch
′Cause I need you


And the jester alone in his sorrow
Telling stories that no one will hear
The poet stands naked there on a stage
Hiding the truth and revealing the fear
That the one he relies on has faded
Then the point is made so perfectly clear
That he needs you when the day is done

The nations behaving like children
In a playground demanding their share
While the rest of the world is left choking
There's nothing to breathe if they blacken the air
And the madness is set to continue
So in case you don't know I should make you aware
That I need you when the day is done
