The Dark Lady Songtext

The Dark Lady Songtext
Behold the Dark Lady
As she enters the room.
She′s speaking to no one,
In this festering gloom.
As the darkness falls,
Through the earth he crawls.
Rising from the grave,
One less soul to save.
How oft when thou, my music, music play'st,
Upon that blessed wood whose motion sounds
With thy sweet fingers when thou gently sway′st
The wiry concord that mine ear confounds,
Without the dark of night,
How can she see the light?
Living in a dream,
No one can hear her scream.
Shadow at the door,
Blood upon the floor.
Roll the loaded dice,
Time to pay the price.
As she enters the room.
She′s speaking to no one,
In this festering gloom.
As the darkness falls,
Through the earth he crawls.
Rising from the grave,
One less soul to save.
How oft when thou, my music, music play'st,
Upon that blessed wood whose motion sounds
With thy sweet fingers when thou gently sway′st
The wiry concord that mine ear confounds,
Without the dark of night,
How can she see the light?
Living in a dream,
No one can hear her scream.
Shadow at the door,
Blood upon the floor.
Roll the loaded dice,
Time to pay the price.
