Only One Earth Songtext
von Mike Love

Only One Earth Songtext

Grandfather, great spirit
All over the world the faces of living ones are alike
With tenderness they have come up out of the ground
Look upon your children that they may face the winds
And walk the good road to the day of quiet

Only one earth, now it′s the time for sharing
The time for caring, for what it's worth
People are ready for a new revival
For our survival depends on her

We must stop, all our transgressions
We must stop, to count our blessings

If I had a wish, I knew that God would grant me
I knew it would be, to live to see (only one wish)
A new world in which, there′d be no room for suffering
No war, disease or poverty

One could hear, a celebration
Brotherhood, of every nation

Grandfather, great spirit,
Fill us with the light
Give us strength to understand
And the eyes to see, teach us to walk the soft earth as relatives
To all that's lived

There is a way, our world can share it's sorrows
To all tomorrows, yet to dawn (there is only one earth)
Come with the knowledge,
Complete assurance, no reoccurance of ill will come
(The path to heaven)
It lies within you
With God′s help, we′ll turn this into

Heaven on earth, now is the time for sharing
A time for caring, for what it's worth
Mankind has searched for peace through all the ages
The war torn pages of history
(The path to heaven)
It lies within you
With God′s help, we'll turn this into

Only one, only one earth
Talking ′bout heaven, heaven on earth
Only one, only one earth
Talking 'bout making it heaven on earth

Only one, only one earth
Talking ′bout heaven, heaven on earth
Only one, only one earth
Talking 'bout making it heaven on earth

Only one, only one earth
Talking 'bout heaven, heaven on earth
Only one, only one earth
Talking ′bout making it heaven on earth
