Get to Me (Commentary) Songtext

Get to Me (Commentary) Songtext

The minute Hilary started singing it
The minute, you know the body just started
Kind of jumping on it
It was like, "Gosh there it is"

Yea, it′s, it's really kind of a, type of song
That I′ve never really sung outside of just my car
Like, uh you know, um
Because some of my biggest influences
Personally are Trisha Yearwood, Bonnie Raitt
You know those kind of voices that
I mean there are so many older Trisha Yearwood songs that
Remind me of this song so much just with the way
With the verces, how she sings the verces
And then the courses' go to a very powerful place
And, but she has that beautiful low register that
You know it just showcases every part of, of a voice
And I just love the urgency of this, of the lyric
You know, this was written by Hillary Lindsey and James Slador
And it's so just like
I don′t care what you have to do get here but
You got to me, like (Yea, sexy without trying to be sexy)
Yea, and um (It is)
This song has made me a better singer
And so I′m so appreciative to the writers for writing it
And because I feel more confident because of the song
Um, and that's really fun, you know it′s funsome to hit
