This Transcendent Ache Songtext

This Transcendent Ache Songtext

We are looking at the ceiling,
And all our scars are showing,
And the populations growing one by one,
World leaders rise and fall,
Turn around, next thing you′re knowing,
There are places in yourself you can't outrun,

And both of us are laying silent in the lonely now,
It′s a pain that you can't feel but it's so real somehow.

And this transcendent ache we′re feeling,
It′s you and me against the world,
We're waiting for some kind of meaning,
But nothing glows without you girl.

And the sadness hits the interstate,
As the day turns away from the sun,
What do you do when it′s too late,
And you can't even see that you′re the one,
Heart so heavy on your chest,
You can hear it ticking like a bomb,
And nothing's missing this is it,
I′ve run out of ways to turn you on,

Is this road going anywhere?
Which path should I choose?
I just wanna know the future,
'Cause I'm so confused.

And this transcendent ache we′re feeling,
It′s you and me against the world,
We're waiting for some kind of meaning,
Theres nothing close without you.

And I know there′s a chance we can fall in love again,
And we can wear these scars like war medallions,
A sky of dying stars and miles to walk,
Let's disappear, let the grey ones talk.

And this transcendent ache we′re feeling,
It's everyone against us, girl
We′re waiting for a higher meaning,
I'd lose my faith without you in my world.
