Among us all they slither and writhe

They crawl from holes in the ground
Where the sun could never be found
Their venom it flows from an endless well


If you swing from the gallows
If you hang by the road
You ain′t a saint or a sinner
Just a man without soul
If you trade a dollar
For a handful of hate
Just carry on
Down the trail of the snake

They come in the form of a friend
Turn your back and they will descend
Draining your life to the very end

They prey on smiles of a child
Have their way with the lost and the wild
Don't look in their eyes they′re black pools of evil

Their wicked fangs aim to betray
Stay away from the trail of the snake
They'll leave you cold, all alone
Don't let them crawl into your home
