I left Lake Charles on 71 and I drove the Highway 10
Took a right at a second light and I turn back right again
Drove till I came to the Junction six where it runs into 501
Stopped for gas at the Cumberland pass and again in Burlington

But out of Burlington, I took ol′ 70 headed west
I found me a picnic table and stretched out and I took a rest
I drove on across Montana Dam till I came to Lake Wahoo
Took the ferry to the other side, I was a-coming home to you
