In the beginning there was nothing
But then a small change can be observed
You realize that matter is expanding
Appearing like neurons in the brain

Time starts to pass, relentlessly
First stars appear, black holes, galaxies

The expansion rate starts to accelerate
Temperature is gradually coming down
Just a few moments to fulfill its fate
A very special place needs to be made
Now

The sun is finally born
To give heat to several planets around
And a particular one is sworn
To bear life
Everything else is just a background


At first simple but rapidly gaining new traits
So diverse in their ways of how to survive
Developing skills important in their own place
Independent and able to make the system thrive
But then came a human

But then came a human
With needs the nature has to fulfill
There′s too many of them
Too many with an urge to kill

No matter what the cost
They are so vain, so fickle
But it's not nature people hate the most
It′s other people

Unable to see what they really are
Only ash, only dust
Yet so willingful to fight
They do what they must

Everything they bring
Disaccord, harm
Every single thing
Slavery, firearm


Civilization
Expansionism
Industrialization
Consumerism

Wars
Crimes
This is not going to stop
Not in one's lifetime, no

But their story
Is very short
It is only a scratch
On the timeline of the universe
