Vegvísir Songtext

Vegvísir Songtext
I had heard the stories of all those old fools
Stories of winter everlasting
The end of days
Brothers would turn on each other
Families torn apart by themselves
Kinsmen would bleed together,
Drowning themselves by the sword
This snowfall, lasted for days
I smell it in the air
Already the blood has been spilt
With frost arrived the fear
The ground has frozen thorough
There is no more sun
I hear talks of Fimbulvinter
Mankind shall come undone
Three years, the blood of the fallen
Has brought me life
Thus I stand here to witness
The end of Fimbulvinter
The thundersnow rumbles the sky
The Glepnir has been shattered
Unto the frostcovered ground
Six pieces of chain are scattered
The fishbreath
And a woman′s beard
The sound of cat's paw
Mountainroots
The bird′s spittle
And the sinews of a bear
Stories of winter everlasting
The end of days
Brothers would turn on each other
Families torn apart by themselves
Kinsmen would bleed together,
Drowning themselves by the sword
This snowfall, lasted for days
I smell it in the air
Already the blood has been spilt
With frost arrived the fear
The ground has frozen thorough
There is no more sun
I hear talks of Fimbulvinter
Mankind shall come undone
Three years, the blood of the fallen
Has brought me life
Thus I stand here to witness
The end of Fimbulvinter
The thundersnow rumbles the sky
The Glepnir has been shattered
Unto the frostcovered ground
Six pieces of chain are scattered
The fishbreath
And a woman′s beard
The sound of cat's paw
Mountainroots
The bird′s spittle
And the sinews of a bear
