Threat Songtext

What master shall I serve?
Must I make an offering
Of my time here on this Earth
To some greater cause or being...

Who obscenely owns the means of our subsistence
That we work and built first place into existence?

Wage slavery or death isn′t a choice it's a threat

Turns out I have no say
How did it come to this?
It ever was and ever is
And it might ever stay

So I open the news
Say what the hell is going on?
My life pocket change to the Stock Exchange
Parliament or Pentagon

Turns out a handful of men
In photos smiling fine
They own more than the poorer half
Of humanity combined

Those portraits should be mugshots
I′d rather they be headshots...

But it gets worse from here:
Such measures won't suffice
It's a system rigged from head to toe
We need to crucify

I′m too tired to worry about this kind of shit
Tempted to line up, pretend I′m fine with it

And tie a yellow jacket
Around the Ole Oak Tree
(Its pockets full of semtex?
No IED what you mean!)

Priorities reorganised
Authorities reformed
Into dust...
I'll do it if I must
