Tangled in a wooden womb
A tiny leaf has just been born
The first sip of light he took
Brightly green, ready for more
The sun was up a thousand times
Above the leaf thirsty for light
But then it′s veins have turned blind
It's stalk got tired, weak and brown And when a breath of frost appeared
The leaf has let go of it′s grip
And then he felt a freezing warmth
That leaf will be alive no more
The void is mostly made of snow
The ground is cold, the leaf is dead
But on it's corpse others will grow
And he'll be born again with them
