A Drowning Man Songtext
Can you free me like a carefree bird
From solitude, and from my sullen sigh
All I long for is some peace of mind
Just a little relief but I cannot fly
I′m drowning in desire
And I choke on the pain
Everyone just pulls me down
A deviant desire
And it seems all in vain
For good I'll keep my frown
There is a drowning man with me
Escaping from the world
Of which I′ve never been a part
He's dying in my heart
There is a drowning man with me
Sadly moves my world
It's the dreary weary grief
That′s stealing my belief
Can you save me, with your tender arms
I′m searing alone, caught in an open cell
All humans hurt weights heavily on me
If I could just fly but I can't even yell
From solitude, and from my sullen sigh
All I long for is some peace of mind
Just a little relief but I cannot fly
I′m drowning in desire
And I choke on the pain
Everyone just pulls me down
A deviant desire
And it seems all in vain
For good I'll keep my frown
There is a drowning man with me
Escaping from the world
Of which I′ve never been a part
He's dying in my heart
There is a drowning man with me
Sadly moves my world
It's the dreary weary grief
That′s stealing my belief
Can you save me, with your tender arms
I′m searing alone, caught in an open cell
All humans hurt weights heavily on me
If I could just fly but I can't even yell
