Sticks and Stones Songtext

Sticks and Stones Songtext

I′ve been haunting my own house
Nothing new besides this déjà vu
It's all just Desmond Blue
The woodwinds tailspin and

You′ve been wearing the same blouse
Weeks on end, there's that robe again
It's a family friend
My socks take walks without me but

We abide
When the dust and the rust
Combust we′ll still be
Safe inside
In the thick of the sticks
And stones we call our home

We′ve been watching the pot boil
Chemistry in a cup of tea
Comes down to entropy
Electrons move along and

We survive
In the dust and the rust
Concussed but somehow
Still alive
Through the thick and thin
Within our house and home

We take pride
In our fauna and our fluoride
You keep looking at us cross-eyed
But the fools in town are on our side

I've been haunting my own spouse
Nothing new, not even déjà vu
Inside this causal loop
Our cells accelerate and

We collide
With the dust and the rust
And trust we′ll settle
Safe inside
In the thick of the sticks
And stones that make our home

In the thick of the sticks
And stones we call our home
