She′s thinner now than she's ever been
A pin point acid laser beam
She′s off with a mirror
To breath in half an hour of perfect clarity

She paints a scene that could break the law
Pushing cat hairs round the floor
She's under a willow
Where the sun makes shadows on the paper rocks she breathes
And under the pillow
She hides a list of twenty clever things to be

She'll cast a spell on anyone who thinks she′s there
Her phone hides cowering under a magazine
She′ll rid the house of every little speck of her
Her fingers dust for evidence


She's cleaning
The stain of guilt stays dark forever
All the way to heaven seventeen miles wide
Dreaming
The life of people half forgiven
Lifts the magic carpet, sweeps her soul inside
See her hide

She′s not a fan of her history
Or what her future tries to be
She lives in the middle
And tries to stick the time that ticks before or since
Her answer's a riddle

Her heart lies cowering under a skinny shell
She cuts herself from every living photograph
