Rock & Roll Songtext
von Tom Williams

Rock & Roll Songtext

Found me some friends, and we made a band
Sent our heart and soul to a middle-age man
He emailed us back and said we didn′t understand
But what does he know, he's just a business man

We carried on regardless, and we played some shows
And texted all our friends and everyone we know
We built it up steady and we built it up slow
Now I just refresh my email, and sit by my phone

And I don′t believe in rock and roll no more
I don't believe in rock and roll
I don't believe in rock and roll no more
I don′t believe in rock and roll no more

Got all our friends in London in a mini-bus
Made it look like thirty people came in just for us
We got to industry on guest lists and it won′t be long
And all our friends are in the front row singing along

And I don't believe in rock and roll no more
I don′t believe in rock and roll
I don't believe in rock and roll no more
I don′t believe in rock and roll no more
Don't talk about it but don′t have a band no more
Just concentrate on working and getting drunk and bored
We flicked through photos now and then, of everything we did
And laugh at all the other local bands being stupid kids
And I don't believe in rock and roll no more
I don't believe in rock and roll
I don′t believe in rock and roll no more
I don′t believe in rock and roll no more
I don't believe in rock and roll no more
