With two feet in the waves
The future seemed so hard to read
She knew how to behave
But the truth splashed on her feet

We keep on wasting time
Like sand slipping through our toes
We struggle trying to climb

The wind played with her hair
And blew the bars out of her head
The thoughts she couldn′t share
Soaked off by the tears she shed


She had to listen to her heart
And she new right from the start
She closed her eyes and walked away
Cause there was nothing left to say

But deep down inside
She knew she was right

Lost in a dream
That released her inner flame
Nothing more than a gleam
The days all looked the same
