Mapfumo Speaks: "Revolutionary Songs" Songtext
People were victimizing the band
They were telling people that they shouldn′t come to our concerts
Because we played for bishop Muzorewa, we were sellouts
We had a very difficult times, I mean we used to play for very few people
People were being told lies by some jealous so and sos
So we said it doesn't matter
We will still play our music and the language is not going to change We played revolutionary songs
We never stopped
And then people started realising that these guys-
They were the only guys who stood up I mean during the struggle
And still today they still doing the same thing
They′ve never changed and then people started coming back
They were telling people that they shouldn′t come to our concerts
Because we played for bishop Muzorewa, we were sellouts
We had a very difficult times, I mean we used to play for very few people
People were being told lies by some jealous so and sos
So we said it doesn't matter
We will still play our music and the language is not going to change We played revolutionary songs
We never stopped
And then people started realising that these guys-
They were the only guys who stood up I mean during the struggle
And still today they still doing the same thing
They′ve never changed and then people started coming back
