Every Now and Then Songtext
All my oldest friends have worked out a new way
To make it all go on, to forge out a new day
But I′m just sitting here
Wondering why I can't get it right
It hits me like a hearse, driving sideways
And now I′m feeling worse throughout my days
I'm only lookin' forward
To find some kind of light in the tunnel now
Throw all my plans in the wind
Even if I′m back here again
Every now and then you come up for fresh air
Every now and then you fall in the dirt yeah
Every now and then you realise you′re only a mortal man
Every now and then you begin to suffer
Every now and then you had about enough yeah
Every now and then all you really need is a heroine
I think I need a change, that's the way it is
I tried to live with blame, I′m so sick of this
The world goes up in flames
So many of us fighting for the flimsiest things
The city's like a dog, like a greyhound
The people still believe as they run through the beeping sounds
My mind is going mad
Not getting any closer to homeward bound
Throw all my plans in the wind
Even if I′m back here again
Every now and then you come up for fresh air
Every now and then you fall in the dirt yeh
Every now and then you realise you're only a mortal man
Every now and then you begin to suffer
Every now and then you had about enough yeah
Every now and then all you really need is a heroine
Every now and then all you really need is a heroine
