A Mouthful of Sky Songtext
von The Wooden Wolf

A Mouthful of Sky Songtext

There′s a moon, and it is drowning in the shadows of the night
You know soon the clouds will drink its milk
And its brave little light
So, for a mouthful of sky,
Would you lay down and love me
Would you howl in the night
And let that white moon shine above me

There's a fire in the evening and a dark wind that blows
There′s a wire and a bird that sings,
It resembles a crow
For a handful of stars,
Would you give in and touch me
Would you open up your little fists on me,
I promise it ain't much

That's the handful of stars
Your dust in my eyes
Like a white comet scar
Of my lust in the night

I remember that night when lust defeated your pride
Your virtue was as see-through as the dress that you wore
At first you recoiled but the urge of your hands on my hide
It was printed all over your face,
On the walls,
On the floor

And your ink on my skin was as dark as your hair
As you danced over me,
A naked figure in the air
It was like biting in a clementine,
Thrusting my teeth in your hide
It was bitter at first,
But much sweeter inside

And here′s your mouthful of sky
Your spit on my song
Your teeth in my hide
My love on your tongue
