The Eternal Well Songtext

The Eternal Well Songtext
I saw a vision in the swirling mist
A stone heart bleeding into a lion′s fist
Thirteen cherub line the road
Where into the darkness, a caravan rolled
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
Amongst these strangers, I did ride
The sun now rising to paint the sky
And in this dawning, a tower gleamed
The likes of man had never seen
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
A call went out upon an ancient horn
The sound familiar as a distant storm
There came three riders in cloaks of white
They gave us entry into the tower bright
As the latch behind us fell
We saw our reflections in the eternal well
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
Since I awoke upon the floor that night
The days they come and they will go
Yet I keep searching, searching for that sound
To lead me back from where I fell
A stone heart bleeding into a lion′s fist
Thirteen cherub line the road
Where into the darkness, a caravan rolled
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
Amongst these strangers, I did ride
The sun now rising to paint the sky
And in this dawning, a tower gleamed
The likes of man had never seen
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
A call went out upon an ancient horn
The sound familiar as a distant storm
There came three riders in cloaks of white
They gave us entry into the tower bright
As the latch behind us fell
We saw our reflections in the eternal well
Follow the passage down
Gaining ground by the hour
Led by a holy sound
And consumed by its power
Since I awoke upon the floor that night
The days they come and they will go
Yet I keep searching, searching for that sound
To lead me back from where I fell
