Gordie Can't Swim Songtext

Gordon Richard Storm wished he wasn′t born and his family do
His dreams had been and gone straight away
Told by his father on a regular basis he was a mistake
A one off night affair they say

The feelings that were in the air
Were there to see
Ahhhh
Ahhhh

Left round his Aunties in the afternoons but he didn't care
The only fun he had in the day
No one in his family took a second look at his sorry face
So he left to roam around the place
Oooh

Gordie told us when he was a boy
That his father knocked him into next week

Leaving for the streets of London
And nobody could tеll his Dad

Dreaming of the woman he was always told was coming homе
But never heard a peep

He needs someone to carry the lantern
To show him that they understand
And teach him about the World around him
The first time it be underhand
Oooooh

Gordie left a letter
Cos he don′t know any better on the doorstep concrete

Left next to a missing photo
Of Gordie on a carton of milk

Aaah
Ohhh

This was Gordies final farewell
A tortured soul lays to rest

Aaah
Ohhh
Aaah
Ohhh
Aaah
Ohhh
Aaah
Ohhh
Aaah
Ohhh
Aaah
Ohhh
