At the Seaside Songtext

At the Seaside Songtext
Walked up past the old arcades
To where the older boats lie dead
Got up to the broken bandstand
But this all happened in my head
I had dozed off, I hadn′t moved at all
I'd slept with back up to the wall
And now I′ve had that nice dream
I think that I might like some ice-cream
Walked in my bare feet along the sand
To where the water met the land
When the water hit my knees
I thought that I was going to freeze
Some kids dad gave me some hassle
I tripped over his kids sand castle
Kid sat there in tears - mouth open wide
I was bright red, I nearly died
Later on in the old arcade
Twenty pence, Euro '96
Knocked out in the semis by the French
A well struck peno by Asterix
To where the older boats lie dead
Got up to the broken bandstand
But this all happened in my head
I had dozed off, I hadn′t moved at all
I'd slept with back up to the wall
And now I′ve had that nice dream
