Provides me clarity of thought
The sky clears at the far horizon
And shines with a rejuvenating light
And the broken land lies still behind me
Nothing stirs in that ravaged wilderness
I am born afresh, I am reincarnated
I shed the serpent skin of my past

You rose like a tsunami
From an ocean amniotic
To flood the shore for miles in waves of light
You came to beat the night
To eradicate the shadows
And to rinse the poison from the blood in my veins
All flesh is a flowing stream
In the currents of a mighty river
Arterial to the propagating heart
Back when the darkness reigned
I never thought I would see the light of day
