the north star is rising
in my hemisphere
the dry white lightning
the thunder rolling near

the waves are rising
but you′re always on the mark
looking down on the tempest
and this wandering raft
adrift between the freeze and burn
my demons they have been your concern


I've been wayward
wondered where to turn
I steer toward you burning, burning
pole star, star of the sea
isis lines her sight on me
lone star, star of my mind
without your light
this sailor is blind
this homesick sailor,
