Weekend Songtext

Weekend Songtext

You waste another weekend
Trying to impress your friends
It′s a brand new season
But it felt the same back then
Is it gonna be a life of indecision
Or shooting every shot with reckless indiscretion

Who am I gonna be when they're gone
What am I gonna be when I′m the only one
What am I gonna be when I'm alone

And my decisions are my own
I play without a metronome
And I've just got to get on with the show

I waste another hour staring deep into my phone
My eyes are always open lights are on but no one′s home
And so the last thing that I need is another new distraction
Yeah the only thing I need is a friendly interaction

Who am I gonna be when they′re gone
What am I gonna do when I'm the only one
What am I gonna be when I′m alone

And my decisions are my own
I play without a metronome
And I've just got to get on with the show

I wish that I could turn my brain off maybe then I′d get some peace
I waste all of my mornings trying to catch up on sleep
Until my friends all hit me up say that we should all go out
And so we sit in crowded bars as I listen to them run their mouths

Who am I gonna be when they're gone
What am I gonna do when I′m the only one
What am I gonna be when I'm all alone

And my decisions are all my own
I play without a metronome
And I've just got to get on with the show
