The flood of blood and carrion
The black waters processing down
We stand in wait forevermore
For the descendance of the crown

You crawl ahead, and stoke the crimson fire
My eyes adjust, and the stars open their eyes
Parades of ghosts resign into their graves
As every knot of calcium unwinds

The moon and the water
Reflecting off each other


Tell me stories of the ancient days
Of the gods of war and the Odyssey
Let your song alchemize with the flames
Let all of the forgotten come alive again

And as you fall again into my arms
My eyes remain upturned against the sky
The constellations bow with radiant blood
The surge of nations floods into my eye

And something from the horizon calls my name
A voice that shines across the falling dew
The moon sits high above the endless night
