Wandering men set for death of whom the world′s not worthy
Lonely witnesses of the fall, the shame and rebirth
Who cut into the hearts of all who fall short of glory
O holy ones, to whom the oracles were given
And for this, they burned in the fire of conviction
And were subject to the dark torments that horrify
Torn asunder, stoned and lived in constant affliction
But passing not, their spirits mount the desert sky
O holy ones, to whom the oracles were given
There's a man in an empty field
Surrounded by wheels flying around his head
And alone under the dark concealed
Bright fire sparks crimson red
And I will cry like a young swallow
And I will meditate like a dove
Their voices cry where none can follow
And a glittering spear appears above
And now in the fall of vesper light
The sentry is placed, the gate remains closed
But a man passes through out of sight
Who in beauty and violence is clothed
Lonely witnesses of the fall, the shame and rebirth
Who cut into the hearts of all who fall short of glory
O holy ones, to whom the oracles were given
And for this, they burned in the fire of conviction
And were subject to the dark torments that horrify
Torn asunder, stoned and lived in constant affliction
But passing not, their spirits mount the desert sky
O holy ones, to whom the oracles were given
There's a man in an empty field
Surrounded by wheels flying around his head
And alone under the dark concealed
Bright fire sparks crimson red
And I will cry like a young swallow
And I will meditate like a dove
Their voices cry where none can follow
And a glittering spear appears above
And now in the fall of vesper light
The sentry is placed, the gate remains closed
But a man passes through out of sight
Who in beauty and violence is clothed
